Christopher Raven has suffered at the hands of Neville Scranton’s Devil’s Tines since they massacred his family years earlier. Christopher was left behind, orphaned and missing a hand when Marcus, an ex-slave and rum-maker took him under his care and nursed him back to health. Marcus took Christopher as one of his own. Christopher has always harbored bitterness inside him and drowns it with alcohol and violence to escape it, brooding over what seemed to him an injustice: when his beloved Devil’s Tines vanished during that devastating earthquake which leveled half of Port Royal. Now when several murders take place involving Neville Tines himself he feels vindificated – nothing will prevent Christopher from exacting revenge against these enemies of his!
