War has broken out throughout Myrtana. Orcish armies invaded human territory, necessitating more ore than usual to forge weapons for his army to fight off this new danger. Every person found breaking the law during these turbulent times is sent to Khorinis as part of an international penal colony to mine for much-needed ore. The area, commonly referred to as “The Colony”, is sealed off from the outside world by a two kilometer barrier with magical properties encasing it from external threats. The barrier can only be passed from outside in, making passage impossible from inside out – effectively imprisoning those within. Unfortunately for them though, soon the prisoners took advantage of this situation to launch a revolt and seize control. The Colony was divided among three factions, forcing King Osborn to negotiate rather than demand ore. You are then thrust through an invisible barrier into this prison cell where your only objective should be survival; form tenuous alliances until eventually, you escape through all available means.
