ABOUT THIS GAME

Standbox Kids Games taps into that childhood desire we all shared: being more fascinated with a tech demo than with what was advertised as the game you intended on playing. In StandBOX you get to play in an interactive sandbox where a smart ragdoll stands and attempts to balance himself, falls over but gets back up again, while animated by what approximates an organ system could do for him/her.

What Is This Game?

The purpose of the game is primarily an experimentation tool inspired by video-game tech demos that explores Stanley’s behavior – from getting balanced to taking damage, concussions or brain injuries, breaking bones or failing back up (if damaged enough) before passing out from blood loss… It features three maps with various tools at its disposal for experimentation purposes.

What plans exist for the future of this game?

STANDBOX has many plans in the works and I hope I can bring them all to fruition soon enough. In the meantime, please purchase it based on what it already is today rather than for what could become of it in future incarnations; consider purchasing this game only if a small scope sandbox with satisfying behaviors is what speaks to you; this game is not an enormous complex system but simply fun physics plaything!
