Tempelhof Airport in Berlin at dawn on 8 April 1949 witnessed a major armed confrontation brewing between Western powers and Soviet bloc. Since World War II ended, Red Army strength had steadily been increasing. With their growing army, Soviet leaders understood they held an advantage and only needed the right moment to strike back at America. That moment arrived with Tempelhof Incident: an near fatal collision of US cargo plane and Soviet fighter over Berlin’s main airfield. An unfortunate and fatal combination of coincidence and human error, there’s no point arguing what went wrong; nor disputing who fired first or who shot back first; instead it will go down in history as fatal. Within 12 hours of the crash, Berlin began vibrating under salvoes of an unexpected war between former allies over Europe and global supremacy – one never intended by history itself! What seemed impossible now became reality and may change its fate for good; WWII may now only exist as memory – yet a Cold War remains ongoing…
