Assuming you survive this ordeal, you’ll awake on an island armed only with a rock and torch for protection from natural dangers (ranging from heat and cold waves to thirst and starvation), build shelter, eat (or be eaten!), collect materials scavenged off-island. Explore abandoned settlements, mysterious monuments and factions on it while keeping an eye out for other survivors…

Create and build bases to defend and control resources on an island, research its technology tree, grow farms for electricity production, commandeer vehicles such as horses, cars, boats or helicopters for your use – whatever it takes! – and stay one step ahead in life.

Rust’s rules can only be determined by you: craft tools, armor and weapons to defend yourself; collaborate with friends and allies in building a town together. Discover what’s happening on the island; trade with other players or even raid their bases to take their hard-won goods if need be!

Download and Install Rust
